The reason for sleep

is to be awake.

Hidden meanings

brought to life.

EKG to trace.

You both did more than tell a story.

Answers revealed

in each line.

An echo that ripples

and disrupts the senses.

Was that sentence there before?

When did it enter?

We are all the same.

Maybe.

Outstanding performance

from you lovely ladies.

I will speak on my own malnourishment.

Please give us more. 🚀✨

thank you.

it feels like a poem inside a poem, yes.

we let the frequencia decide - not as choice, but as continuation, or disappearance. if it returns, it was never gone.

This piece makes me want to see it interpreted in an abstract painting. 🎨 I don't know why. Your words and energy of it I guess.

Nimila's avatar

Thank you for suggesting it. We played a lot with colors, it's actually something we'll think about.

I would love to see that! 😊

There is something haunting here about being seen before you are ready to understand what being seen means. The café, the camera language, the repeated question, the little fractures between languages, all of it makes recognition feel unstable. Not comforting exactly. More like being caught on film before you knew anyone was looking.

I kept thinking about how frightening it can be when another person notices the self you have been trying to keep half-hidden. Sometimes being seen feels like relief. Sometimes it feels like exposure to better lighting.

You captured the essence so magically, Angelica. Thank you so much for taking the time to read and feel so deeply.

I like this - recognition itself feels like a shifting frequency. We never fully know when we are being seen. It all dilutes, floats, fluctuates - like coffee foam dissolving, or the windows of a café in the rain.

Fear also arrives from behind the back. It is never what we expect that frightens us, fully. Fear is like a sister to recognition. Being seen, and seeing ourselves in that light, feels like a ride - a pulse beating through the body.

Thanks for reading.

How this ended hit so deeply. You all did so much with such spare language. Beautiful collab.

Thank you. It always feels like the words finish themselves somewhere between us.

Thank you so much for reading so closely 🤍

You both are so very incredibly sensuous dark yet still light and floaty imaginative amazing and sexy writers!!! I 🖤 this collab!! 🌷✨🌷

Jeanne Vessantra's avatar

Thank you 🖤 that sensuous tension between dark and floaty is exactly what we were reaching for.

This was one of the most creatively brilliant collaboration I’ve ever seen. It’s the kind where you linger on the page, reread the words, question their meaning while the same questions inevitably arrives within. Brilliantly done. You both absolutely killed it.

Nimila's avatar

I am so glad you felt it deeply. Repetition through the ordinary is undervalued.

oh my gosh. it feels like being spoiled to be able to read a collaboration by you two. this piece is stunning, i felt as though i were caught between different shutters, disoriented, with a lingering sense of dread. this gave the sense of an image whose main subject is blurred, but too bright, too naked, at the same time. eyes and lenses on you, subtleties in being seen that are not quite right. a freeze frame you get stuck in that you hope someone doesn't look at too long or remember, all done with words. bravo!

Jeanne Vessantra's avatar

Thank you. It's strange and beautiful to hear it reflected back like this - as if the text itself was being looked at too long.

I imagine you reaching out through time in a dream sort of experience, connecting with yourself, yet not completely recognizing her.. very interesting collab, spare and gravid at the same time.

I’m glad you felt it. Thank you for reading.

You wrote loneliness like a double exposure blurred, intimate, impossible to look away from. Beautifully haunting ✨🌹❣️

Thank you for noticing such an essential detail so closely, you get it. 🤍

Incredible work. Your individual styles merged together seamlessly. The eerie ambience, the lack of resolution, the tension running throughout it all, deeply felt. Great collab x

I love the way the imagery and emotions weave in and out, like different frequencies tuning into one another. Thank you for sharing this collaboration - it’s a reminder of how collective creativity can amplify meaning.

Jeanne Vessantra's avatar

I love how you describe it as frequencies tuning into each other - that’s exactly the feeling.
